Every year, right after New Year’s, my thoughts always turn to a very special event that’s held here in the Black Hills. And it’s that time of year once again, the Black Hills Stock Show. It’s a perfect chance for ranch folks to come into town during the winter and check out the rodeo, horse sales and my favorite event, the artist gallery.
I have had the privilege of showing and selling my artwork at the stock show for more 15 years. One of the reasons why I so look forward to it is that I have gained some wonderful friendships through this event.
I always take my paintbrush and if there’s a slow moment I’ll be painting on something new. This show is my first one for the year so I try to have some new originals available. Several of you have come back to buy year after year and that means so much to me and my family.
If you have the chance, stop by and say hello! In the photo, I’m the booth that’s farthest back by the stairs. Perhaps you’ll recognize one of my paintings that is visible in my booth (you’ll have to look close J)
The stock show is a family event and an adventure that includes everything from a petting zoo for the kids to serious fine art for the collector. If you’d like to see some of my new originals please let me know. Also continue to check my website for updates of my new giclee prints that are available.
